Recording Roses In The Snow My latest cd, "Roses In The Snow" was a labor of love for me. After picking songs for the cd, we were five songs short of songs needed. After several song writing sessions with Phillip Wolfe, I had all the songs needed for the cd. I wrote the cd title cut, "Roses In The Snow" about a true to life hard headed couple that I know and it tells a tale of their uncompromising pride destroying their love for each other. The song, "Tracie" was inspired by my mom and dad's harmonious life together on this earth. Fifties Radio was written about my musical heroes, the daddies of rock and roll. The musician line up was impressive with great players, some of them legendary. Barry "Byrd" Burton and "The Memphis Horns" added great balance to this cd. Phillip Wolfe switched from guitar to piano and back with ease. Night and day swirled together as one and the black coffee and music flowed in Shadow Lane Studios. It was a good time for all. |
